This workbook is made up of four chapters that explore different modalities & themes. At the back of the workbook you’ll find an index which includes suggested tools & materials that may come in handy, as well as additional themes & prompts. Feel free to add to this index as you come across tools, ideas, methods, designs, people & media you like or find inspiring.

Repeat these activities as often & as many times as you’d like. The more you play, the more you might uncover different ways of seeing, ideas, concepts, outcomes. Print the workbook out & make a mess of it. Print out multiple copies. Finish the workbook once, do it all again. Complete the activities erratically. Complete them solo, with a friend, your child, a lover. Play around with the prompts in whichever ways your imagination or intuition leads you. Use the pages in the workbook, use a journal, notebook, sketchbook or loose pages, use anything with plenty of space from which to create.

There are no rules for the order you complete the workbook in, or whether you complete the activities as they dictate at all. In fact, a sense of unruly interpretation & playful curiosity is deeply encouraged. This is a container for play, to guide you gently in a world that often rushes us onwards and away from original thought and presence in the way we interact with ideas and the world around us. Alter and adjust as you like, use different tools and materials, substitute suggestions, go wild.
